The exemption from part-lot control provisions of the Planning Act allow a municipality to pass a by-law to remove part-lot control from lots within a registered plan of subdivision. Exemption from part-lot control is used to facilitate the creation of technical severances for properties that were subject to a previous public meeting process. This includes semi-detached and townhouse lots and the creation of vacant non-residential lots.
